Michigan State's championship quarterback and long-time NFL coach Jimmy Raye and Michigan State alumnus and author of "Raye of Light" will appear at two book signings over the Spartans' homecoming weekend. Second-ranked Michigan State (4-0) and Purdue (1-3) play at noon Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
The first one is at 7 p.m. Thursday night (10-1) at Schuler Books in Lansing. The store is located in the Eastwood Towne Center at 2820 Towne Center Blvd., Lansing, Mi. The phone number is 517-316-7495.
The second is Friday (10-2) at the Downtown Coaches Luncheon at the Eagle Eye Golf Course in Bath. The address is 15500 Chandler road. The luncheon begins at 11 a.m.
They will discuss Michigan State's leading role in the integration of college football under Duffy Daugherty, the Spartans' College Football Hall of Fame coach from 1954 to 972.
