CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Pitt quarterback Nathan Peterman grew up a Florida Gators fan in Jacksonville, Fla., well-versed in college football rivalries.

There was no escaping the famed Florida-Georgia rivalry played annually in his hometown as a neutral site. Florida also played intense in-state turf battles against Florida State and Miami. ...
