Irish beat North Carolina to reach 5-1 entering bye week

Notre Dame defeated North Carolina 33-10 in intermittent rain on Saturday at Kenan Stadium. The victory propelled the 5-1 Irish into a bye week with needed rest for quarterback Brandon Wimbush’s injured ankle.

Ian Book replaced Wimbush to lead the Irish to their fourth straight victory. They’re now in position to climb in the Top 25 rankings before USC arrives on Oct. 21 at Notre Dame Stadium. ...
