NFL draft meant more to NC State than Clemson

Doeren and staff can point to three draft picks and fifth QB taken

Clemson finished runner-up on the field to Alabama in the College Football Playoff final and second in the nation to Ohio State on the NFL draft board – 12 Buckeyes were selected to nine Tigers.

But a case could be made that NC State improved its recruiting pitch through the 2016 NFL Draft more than Clemson or any other ACC team
