Dayton coach might be lured home by his alma mater

A few years ago the basketball job opened at Oklahoma State, the alma mater of Kansas coach Bill Self. He was immediately a prime candidate. Just as quickly he said he was not interested in leaving Allen Fieldhouse.

Only the heartstrings of an alma mater could suggest the prospect of Self leaving a blue blood program to return home to a school that plays in the shadow of Oklahoma – not to mention Kansas. And that’s all it was – wishful thinking on the part of the Cowboys. ...
