Michigan and Florida State in odd Orange Bowl

Both teams finished third in their conference division but highly ranked

Two teams that finished third in their respective conferences’ divisions meet in the Orange Bowl. Michigan and Florida State play on the unholy bowl date of Dec. 30 in a town called Miami Gardens despite an artificial field at Hard Rock Stadium.
