High school basketball suffered a big loss – figuratively and literally – this week when Harry Giles’ senior year ended with a knee injury playing the season opener for his new high school, Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.

I include “high school basketball” as a loss with Giles’ personal pain because the No. 1-ranked prospect in the Class of 2016 has represented the game so well. ...
