The NCAA baseball tournament doesn’t dominate the public consciousness like the College Football Playoff or March Madness. So you could be forgiven for not knowing the difference between the contenders and pretenders now that it’s down to a sweet 16.

With that in mind, here’s a primer on the remaining schools that won a regional last weekend to advance to Super Regional games. The eight best-of-three series open Friday, with the winners advancing to the double-elimination College World Series in Omaha, Neb. ...
