Dino Babers played high school football in San Diego and college ball at Hawaii. He launched his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater. He also spent a year as a San Diego State assistant.

Yes, he’s lived in comfortable climates while playing and coaching a tough sport, but Babers’ new job as Syracuse’s head coach lacks a Hawaii or San Diego climate to sell to recruits. Nevertheless, he promises them perfect football conditions. ...
